George the donkey

I spent way too long on this donkey’s fur—like, enough time to question all my life choices—but now that it’s done? I think we’re in love. Just look at that face. That’s not just any donkey, that’s a donkey with wisdom, with feelings, with opinions about your life choices. And honestly? I trust them.

When I drew that eye, I swear it started looking back at me like, “Really? You’re using that brown?” But now? We’re cool. We’ve been through the pencil-sharpening chaos together. We’ve bonded.

I wanted the fur to look soft enough to touch and layered enough to make you wanna reach out and pet the paper. And those ears? Full-on drama. One’s like “I’m listening,” the other’s like “I’ve heard enough.”

This drawing is part donkey, part accidental therapist, part sassy farm icon. I didn’t just draw an animal—I captured a whole mood. And I kinda love it.
